TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CONSUMER AND BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

1. General
These terms and conditions apply to transactions between Tähtisaunat Oy and the customer (consumer or business). By placing an order, the customer accepts these terms.
Tähtisaunat Oy processes customers’ personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. More information on the processing of personal data can be found in the company’s privacy policy.

2. Delivery times

Standard products: Delivery time is usually 1–4 working days from order confirmation.
Custom-made products: Delivery time is usually 1–4 weeks from order confirmation.
Delivery times are estimates, and Tähtisaunat Oy reserves the right to change delivery times due to, for example, stock availability, transport delays, or other external reasons.

3. Delivery
Products are normally delivered via Posti (Finnish postal service). Customers may also collect products from the Hollola factory by prior arrangement.
Tähtisaunat Oy generally delivers products only within mainland Finland. Deliveries abroad must be agreed upon and confirmed separately before the order is confirmed.

4. Return policy

Standard products: A 14-day right of return under the Consumer Protection Act applies to unused and resalable products.
Custom-made products: No right of return (Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 6, Section 16, point 3).

5. Orders for sauna benches and floor plans
For custom-made products, such as sauna benches, the customer is responsible for measurement verification:

The customer must ensure that the dimensions on the floor plan are correct before confirming the order.
The customer must ensure that the material stated in the floor plan is correct.
The floor plan is considered approved unless the customer expressly notifies of the need for changes before production begins.

6. Payment methods and late payment interest

Private individuals: Prepayment invoice or invoice with personal identity code, 14 days from the date of delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Companies: Prepayment invoice or invoice with a positive quick credit recommendation, 14 days from the date of delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Late payments will be charged interest in accordance with the Interest Act, as well as any collection costs.
Personal data collected in connection with payment methods is processed in accordance with the privacy policy.

7. Installation
If Tähtisaunat Oy carries out the product installation, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the suitability of the installation site conditions. Any surface protection during installation is the customer’s responsibility, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Warranty
Tähtisaunat Oy grants a two (2) year warranty for its own wooden products from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated in the product description. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear or defects caused by misuse
Defects resulting from installation errors
Damage caused by using the product for purposes other than intended
For sauna benches: darkening, cracks, or other surface damage caused by water or dirt. Proper protective and maintenance treatment of benches is the customer’s responsibility unless such treatment has been separately purchased as a service from Tähtisaunat Oy.
Frame structures that have been modified, sawn, or carved without the manufacturer’s consent.

For some products, the warranty is determined by the warranty terms set by the manufacturer. These products include all other products than those manufactured by Tähtisaunat Oy. Links to the warranty terms are provided below.
In warranty matters, the customer must present proof of purchase and, if necessary, an approved floor plan for custom-made products.

9. Limitation of liability
Tähtisaunat Oy is not responsible for delivery delays or damages caused by force majeure.

10. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will primarily be settled through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the matter will be resolved by the Consumer Disputes Board (for consumers) or the competent district court (for both companies and consumers).

Cariitti Oy – Fibre and LED lighting
Cariitti Oy grants a 24-month warranty on products it manufactures and imports, starting from the delivery date. Under the warranty, Cariitti Oy is responsible for material and manufacturing defects that are reported within two years of the delivery date.

IKI-Kiukaat
Material warranty: The manufacturer guarantees the durability of stainless steel parts (heating element tray and mesh) for home use for 10 years.
Control panels have product-specific warranty terms. Find your product on the IKI-Kiuas website and locate the product manual. The warranty terms are in the manual, which has also been delivered with your order.

Magnum Heaters
Tähtisaunat Oy (manufacturer) provides a warranty for its products in accordance with these terms. The warranty period is 24 months from the date of delivery for private/apartment use. A receipt, order confirmation for the purchase, building site handover protocol, or equivalent document serves as proof of warranty. Full warranty terms are in the user manual:

Tulikivi Oyj – Wood- and electric-heated sauna stoves
The warranty is valid for 24 months from the product’s purchase date or from the date the building where the product is installed is handed over, whichever is later.
For communal saunas and professional use, the warranty is valid for 12 months.
In private saunas, the use of weekly programs is prohibited.
